NANOMETER-SIZED MATERIALS AS AN USFUL TOOL FOR SAMPLE PREPARATION IN ANALYTICAL APPLICATIONS
Corresponding author: E-mail: mohammed.zougagh@uclm.es

Abstract
This talk, presents a general overview of the use of nanometer-sized materials to perform sample preparation. In this way, the main types of nanoparticles used for this purpose, such as carbon nanotubes (CNTs), quantum dots (QDs), silica, magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs), noble metal coated NPs, and surfactant are described in terms of their composition, properties, and synergetic potential. Some examples of their analytical applications are reported, as well as pointing out possible future applications of NPs in the analytical field

Keywords: Nanometer-sized materials, sample preparation, analytical chemistry, analytical science and nanotechnology

Funding details: The Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness (MINECO) and JJCC Castilla-La Mancha are gratefully acknowledged for funding this work with Grants CTQ2016-78793-P and JCCM PEIC- 2014-001-P, respectively
